Dear Mike,

What a night!  The rain was against you in the first act, and the helicopter in the second, but as ever the Hillbark Players gave their all in a fantastic production!
Thank everyone for carrying on when they had the opportunity to stop.  The woodland scene at the end was truly magical.
I do hope the weather improves for you.

Best Wishes,   Joan Pickavance

Hi James

Just wanted to say that my mum and I thought you were marvellous last night.  We thoroughly enjoyed the show and had a lovely evening.  The whole production was fantastic. We were seated in stand C on the front row so it was perfect.  It was helped by the fact the weather was dry as well.
Hope all goes well for the last few shows.

Watched open air Shakespeare in the rain in Frankby last night. Unusually the cast got soaked while the audience was under cover in the dry.

I have been along to several of the Hillbark Players productions at Royden Park and never failed to be delighted and enchanted sitting in a forest clearing watching a great production.

This years promises to be extra special as is being directed by the fantastic Ann Warr. She was one of my drama tutors many years ago and directed us in several brilliant productions at the Neptune Liverpool and Floral Pavilion New Brighton. This is a really special evening so save up your pennies for a real treat!

And if you read Claud Cookie's article on Culture Vultures then this fits the bill perfectly!   Book early to avoid disappointment.

Dear Sirs

I attended Friday evening's performance of the Merry Wives of Windsor at Roydon Park and thoroughly enjoyed it.  I thought the acting was first rate and all the actors deserved a medal (such terrible weather).  Anyway, the reason I'm writing is, my friend purchased the tickets but refuses to tell me how much they were and I want to repay her.   Can you please advise me.  We were seated to the right of the exit sign.

Many thanks  Kind Regards   Sue Hankey

Dear James,

Just a quick note to say that having been at what I think were the two wettest performances (monday and friday)- and thoroughly enjoyed them both, we were full of admiration for the players who must have been drenched and well aware of how nice it would have been to be somewhere else warm and dry!

In particular your own performance was a real tour de force-and I am sure that you enjoyed the role.

Please keep us in the loop for next time, and I'll see if we can do more to support you all.

With kindest regards,   As ever,   Ian

Hi Nick,
What can we say!!! Breathtakingly funny!!! You are all soooo talented!!
What a superb production in every way !!!!

Very clever direction - so much movement and imaginative interpretation.
The lighting and special effects were truly magical in every sense.
The use of the woodland as the set - wow! Great costumes!
AND so, so funny, with wonderful acting from everyone.
All the ribald humour there should be in a comedy by the Bard.
Please pass on thanks from me and Mike to all the cast. Thanks for a great evening we loved it all.

Talk soon, best wishes,   Sheila Davies
